I have only had that many CH5slims shear. Even on clipped shoes. I clip almost everything as well. I should note for the record I have NOT had that happen with my E4 on concave. And I do use a lot of slims. Justin. I bought a farrier pack of Vector Ch5 slim. Could have been a bad box. But I wont buy another one to find out. I wont use Mustad to soft. E heads are vector or Liberty. I am not trying to start a fight. I am just not accepting the idea that Ch 5 slim is the only nail to use.
I hardly clip and use E-4 n E-5 and slims also....and don't have too many problems. but agree mustad nails are too soft. just bought a box of mondial E-4 and have good luck with that. Italian company that bought out Capewell old machines and making nails for the American market under the name Mondial. ray could add to the history.
Sad too! I was 16 yrs old [in 1979] and I remember it as though is was yesterday on the television. it was horrible.

Just what I've chosen to do. . .nothing to do with where I live at, which is Texas. Do have an odd one here and there in keg shoes. I also like the selection of stock sizes that concave comes in. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
