    Baby oil is much better then all the other crap sold it the only thing iv used that doesn't dry there feet out

    I have had good luck with Hoof Guard over the years...... I think it does a pretty good job of sealing the foot back up and maybe holding the moisture already in the foot after you have rasped the surface off. It does seem to seal up the old nail holes pretty well too. I call it "monkey snot" and that gets the kids in the barn asking questions that can lead to some fun conversations....

    Its bad enough they make oil outta whales n monkeys n emus n goannas n stuf BUT BABIES how bad is that

    I get all sorts of does n donts about treating hooves with topical dressings
    I think its good for dry hooves and over hydrated hooves
    the hooves I see in my area that are done regularly seem to be the better of all I see
    I do think it better to put good minerals n nutrents in there gut n both treatments wont hurt

    Just dont want them oil or greesed just before I get there ay :rolleyes:
