With that bone(per say) loss, the fulcrum processes are compromised. Thus the "Roller Motion" or "Bannaner' Shoe" , IMO, the only option......
Shoe making is fine look at angles of horn tubles. Long term QRT Crack problems will exisit if the horn is not turned in the right directions.
Shod a horse in a yard awhile back with ROLLER MOTION shoe now the vet wants all the horses shod with them
i have 2 vets on my round that ask for a certain brand of shoe and if you asked them why that type of shoe they not have a clue
"They" have seen sucess with those types of shoes, thus if it worked for one it, the shoe, can work for "All".
Jaye. . .just a bit confused as to what you're getting at based on that pic. As for the scar that is present it's solid and not bothering the horse. Keep it cleaned up and haven't had any problems with it. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
One could tell them that my inventory is purchased for most of my long term clients. if one wants me to carry a certain inventory of supplies for selected cases the client ,yourself and/or both has assume the financial responsibility of me being prepared for the obscure case(s). If not, let us determine together if a particular shoe or shoe brand fits the diagnosis, conformation of the horse and disipline. I, John and others, can produce most shoes with inventory within my truck from manufactured to hand made, Aluminum or steel, width and dimensions taken into affect/effect.
Here is one from the other day. A slight resection where the was shod 3 weeks ago to attempt to go to an event but didn't become sound until yesterday. thus re-evaluation and re-section preformed. The horse already had a pour up to the rim pad but after resect the pour was filled to ground surface of the shoe. Just the back 3/4 of the foot. A pour over can be accomplished if the original pour is scored and cleaned with alcohol......
Bona Fide Canker case. a week or so ago did the debridement. Here is pic or two of what the tissue looks like as of yesterday. Waiting on the day of debridement pics my camera had a dead battery. used extended eggbars with hospital plates on all 4 feet. Medicated gauzes and ACS putty applied to curtail the Canker and apply pressure to reduce "proud flesh" accumalation:
