On it takes a talanted farrier to make this shoe: I have confidence in myself that I can do this:) Smitty;(y)
because you, Chris, Mike, Dave, Eric and few others here are very talented too;) it inspires me to be the best!!

I use to know how 22 yrs ago; But I was dis-swaided from making them; and drilled over and over again into the racing only....and my mistake was too concentrated way too much on swaging racing plates; and NOT enough on making everyday shoes and learning more on tooled and fullering.
I have 1 of my blocked heeled racing plate I made back in the 1995. We were bring the IUJH back and I had to learn at all costs the test; and do it to I could to it in my sleep.
I know the basics of different shoes and how they are made; except for a few which I have never done or was shown until I met you guys on here; and it opened my world up to more shoes to make.

I have some exspereince in teaching lads at college and having Apprentices
and its amazing when you get them in and feed them some stuff
they wont want to leave the forge.
they most all want to work on a horse so if you can mix it
    that helps
