Jacob i would start from the start learn how to do one thing well and move on. start pulling shoes and clenching with the CJF when he gives you the green light you can move on to a ruff cut trim and so on. if you try and do the hole package at once it dont work
Thanks for the advice smitty! I've been pulling shoes and finishing for him. He let me do that one. That clinching isn't near as easy as it looks. Believe it or not, I'm actually getting better at it.Ha.
Yes. However I have a job so those days are not in a row unfortunately. I usually get with him only one or two days a week. I guess it's better than nothing.
Heels need closing up better so that it looks like the to rim flows from the inside rim around to the outside rim. More defined safing in medial branch and toe. Shape seems rough and not flowing. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
not bad for a 2nd go to add to what Josh said when making shoes think horses feet starting with your toe bend make a toe bend in relation to the size of foot its for then try get your branches flowing off your toe your stamp needs altering keep it up
Also Zack try make pairs of shoes get into the habit putting them down on each other and seeing a pair.
I have 25 more feet of stock so i will be practicing. Any instruction on making heals i was just winging it Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
Zack what type of horses/ponies are you putting the concave on there is 3/4 type of heels you can do. the norm for making your heels would do your toe bend then your outside heel and branch followed by your inside heel and branch. try not to bash the iron try keep as much width on the foot surfice and put a heel on the end of it also try end up with the material you started out with not thin it down
