Best of luck to ya, Eric. I still think "Stevie" should have hired you at the very beginning. Oh well, his loss. I hope Baron got his money up front.

    Eric,

Is there any way to add a 'new posts' button that, shows all the new posts since the last time you visited the site? Or is that already in place and I just don't know how to use it? Also, what about putting the day and time of any given post at the top/beginning of the post rather than the bottom/end of the post?

    Thanks,

    Rick

    Rick,

In the sub menu (top of the page below the main menu on the left) the "what's new" button shows everything that new on the site. You may want to click the "mark all forums read" button. When you come back and click the what's new it will show everything that's new. If you leave and come back and click the what's new it will show you all the new posts since your last visit. You'll see what I mean. It does just what you would expect.

This software takes it a step further, click what's new then click a topic, it will take you to the first unread post in that topic. :)

I agree some stuff like day and time are sort of hidden. It's something they call signal to noise ratio. For people looking for content having the day and time out of the way of the content is a good thing. For someone like you or me that's trying to figure out when somebody posted it's a bit of a pain. Not that you or anyone care about this sort of stuff. LOL To answer your question, I believe that would take a template edit. The site took off much quicker than I anticipated so I'm a little bogged down on the back end stuff right now and don't have time to learn template edits right now. It's something that I would be happy to look into in a few months.

BTW, for you guys who miss the old look of horseshoes.com, there is a template that looks like the newest version of vbulletin. I'll load it on here if you guys want. Let me know.

    Check it out:

In the bottom left corner of this website where it says "social", click on it and you can choose a different style if you want.

well so far i'm liking this better than even the old horseshoes.com.

i'm finding it easy enough and even managed to figure "what's new".

Rick on the other hand is a slow learner

Something that I think would be good if it wasn't too much trouble is to have each person's location show under their avatar or somewhere. Not all of us know where people are from. Just a thought.

Shane you can put where your from in several places that will show. But not everyone is from Texas and they may not want people to know where the live:D

I live in Sundown Texas, it is as big as it sounds

I like the "Custom Title Option" Shane pointed out. Though mine is not creative, I can not wait to see what Thomas puts in his....

I would like to say that I love this site. I have not really used tapatalk because I can actually download photos from my droid to this site. I would imagine that it would work for the Iphone as well.

Now I just need to actually start to take some photos again. I think it might me time to getsime other eyes looking at my work to tell me where I am going south.

I might try to take photos of all the horses today and start a day in the life thread....

Great work on the site Eric.

Hi, I would like to introduce myself... Mark from Texas and recently put down stakes in Montrose Colorado. I am hoping to make friends here and find some direction on finding a Master Farrier who is willing to take on an apprentice for free in the Four Corners area... Hope everyone is doing well and having a great day.

Easy won the last one and the longest and no photo finish.
