Yes I do Rick, that was the summer of 74 at Great Adventure Safari...I was a dashing 21 yr old who turned 21 whilest I was in Uganda , East Africa picking up 25 of these little guys...only 7 of them left alive there now.,, You know looking back at this photo I can see and remember how these guys were in the shape they were in...once we got them here we put them on a deworming program that they of course have no prevention from in the wild..when I left to move on they were like butterballs..thats good for a elephant, they should gain one pound aday when they are growing up.

Got some aluminium stock in the post today haven't made much out of alu but its what I mostly use here so wanted to make some shoes that I will actually nail on. Got a Jim Keith turning hammer as well, nicest hammer I have ever used.

Well you got decent shadow detail and good enough signal to noise that it could be cleaned up in Photoshop and used to print a decent 8x10 to hang on the wall. The only thing I don't like about that job is that it wasn't me that did it.

Made this pair of 10mm thick shoes this morning for an islandic horse. This is after on the hoof. Used a piece of 26cm long, 10 x 20mm for each shoe.

Toe weights with 'show' toe clip: $65.00 and up depending on size of shoe $ stock dimensions.
1 pr. leather pads: $40.00
1 pr. plastic wedges: $40.00
Hoof Packing: $0.00 and up depending on what I use, ie: Hawthorne's & Oakum, No extra charge; Equithane, Impression Material, Magic Cushion, Lead, etc $5.00 - $25.00/hoof depending on quantity used.

Thank you. Its what he needed to increase his animation. He came into the shop barefoot and his feet were a mess. He needed length but the owner didn't want to pay for more pads. I built the package to account for hoof growth that will result in a longer natural hoof. Unfortunately I won't see this pony again until his shoes are ready to fall off. Such is life.......

Just for shits and giggles, you might try reheating the shoe, quenching the part you don't want to forge/move, and hammering the part that is still hot ( your bar and heels ). I think you could straighten the heels and bar out some.
