How so Chris, Im not doubting you just interested. I like johns as it spreads weight, If you are going to use a narrow bar it doesnt want to press down.
I think the Late Burnie Chapman might disagree with you on that one, David. Perhaps this wide vs. narrow heart bar theory would be a good topic for a new thread.
John i think its a well known fact that barshoes are the most overused bit of metal applied to feet by uneducated horseshoeing people purely for financial gain
Chris i can only tell you about my little exsperience when i have applied bar shoes on feet that i thought warrant them the horse improved
spot on John , the biggest problem is that "barshoes " per se are being applied willy nilly for the wrong reasons
There is also the trimming and fitting of bar shoes ill fitted bar shoes are not going to do anything for the horse
I think where you guys are coming from is that you see bar shoes used often as a quick fix, where what the horse really needed was simply a good basic straight forward trimming and shoeing job.
