The question is, is there enough trafic to keep 3 sites going. I doubt it. Good luck to george as he is working hard to entertain. There are only a limited number of regular posters and they generate trafic. If they choose to post on one site more than another then that site will be where they go. Seems that the people who have out stayed there welcome in previous forums have emerged there. I hope that they all behave but I will not be joining that forum.
Good weather means good business here... plus I am competing for 6 straight Saturdays Sorting..enjoy riding on cattle...right now I am busy reminding folks to keep their lamintic horses off the fresh green grass we have right now..rains have been coming regularly so until June it will shut down.
I agree David. George is a good guy and I wish him well, but I just don't need the aggravation of dealing with some of his members, nor would I want to be associated with them, being the snob that I am. As far as the posting, Fishing season has started (sadly haven't had a chance to go yet, maybe today ), as has spring cleanup, spring shoeing, and I have been trying to sharpen up a bit for a forging clinic coming up in a couple weeks, then I'll be a way for another clinic the weekend after. I thank and appreciate you more dedicated folks for keeping the forum interesting, I just haven't had anything to add lately. Regards
They are John, I cant be arsed with another forum, there is a period where people will post the same stuff on each site, I cant see the value in that. The badly behaved will be respectful for a while but the bun fight will ensue as sure as eggs are eggs. I liked the original site we all hung out at, but then Steve took it over and anoyed folks. This site had teathing issues as people crossed the line but has been fine and well set out. So I have no desire to re live the social experiment that is horse shoers dot com again. As I have said George is working hard to entertain and that is great and good for him, but it looks like to me the same usual suspects will destroy it till they are banned or drummed out, and then you will have what we have here so what is the point?
I like this site. Like the people, like the format. I haven't been anywhere just haven't posted much because I don't feel that I have much of value to post. It's a shame that a lot of the regulars have stopped posting (whoever would have thought that Tom Bloomer could be quiet for a spell?? ) Hopefully things will revive soon.
What makes me smile is a few people who wouldnt post on here because Jack mac was posting are on Geoges site posting with him.
I think in any of the forums people need to make an effort. not just sit back and watch the same people post all the time if they cant post there work help boost the thread in some way
