you draged a bit much for the clips
and you need to have the bar right lenth and shape

keep at it, get the shape in your head, get the measurments right

i really couldnt do with messing about moving bricks just to get shoes out

Short of welding a door on its the best way i know of to get one of these gas fired easy bake ovens up to heat . I guess one could do the sencible thing and knock the top out of it rig a blower and filler up with coak.

Mostly cause its raining here so im not busy this week and i wanted to have a go at making one to nail on a foot

She fractured the lateral wing on that LF 8 or 9 months ago, vet put her on box rest for 12 weeks and didnt want any shoe put on (filly was only bout 5 months at the time). Has been back in paddock for 5 months now without a problem then went sore recently with sole crack and vet panicked thinking fracture playing up and asked me could I put on a "special shoe"(6 years of college and 8 years expeerience working in studs and special was the best she could come up with )
I would normally ignore her just treat the sole crack, four or five days in the box two days poulticed two or three days painting sole with iodine/formulin but as I said in the beginning im a bit bored.
I have always made my bar shoes with a keg shoe and welder but I love looking at the likes of Smitty's and Scrugg's work so now is my chance out here to practice, £5 for a drum of gas, lots of spare time ive no excuses. In another 3 - 4 weeks it'l be too hot though so I wont go near a fire til end of aug/sept.

Guess I'm lucky. My forge is just a single burner with an open face.. no door, and it welds just fine. Forgemaster brand

Gary its a better feeling when you have made it from strach
and have all the good forgeing in the bar shoe
better again when you can make them for feet and they just drop on
its all down to the individual how much effort they want to put into the job
