Couldn't sleep last night, so I watched Episodes of Mr. ED...... Shoeing...s4/ep19/1964 Spodilosis Deformanes... s4/ep20/1964 UGGH, I need some sleep!
, Just watched some of the series. The era of WW2 put the horse into category of a hobby instead of a facto of life.( per Bob Scarzio, adopted name) So, I just looked and observed. The new electronic; TV: as in the Newest I phone, How the horse was presented. The owner, per the series, is just as fked as what we deal with today!
Some of the things I learned from watching Mr. Ed was most owners are "out there" and to hate those damn dutch doors in a stable.
ReallY Dude; again! WTF? A Palomino Qrt horse. if you would check the references at Gladstone, the first Gold Medal awarded was to the U.S.A. ; TB.... really dude, get a job
Nap. No. retort to an ignorant fk', yep. Watching a TV series that is 60 years old to see what was "portrayed" to owning a horse, make an analogy of what we know now and what was seen then. The evolution of knowledge that has helped or handicapped us, as farriers, for years.
If it weren't for the numerous injuries I've seen and experiences I've had with TBs trying to escape over Dutch doors I wouldn't give them a second thought. IME it is the only breed that I've seen go there, though I'm sure it has happened with other breeds, just not something I've seen for myself or heard anyone mention. I don't think it has anything to do with winning medals but if it makes you happy to put that spin on it you're welcome to whatever joy you get from the process.
Yep , make a living so your wife doesn't have work at Walmart to support your online diatribes. Done. Just plain talk.
you have never been to the track; because most racing TB's are in just a webbing across their stall door and they don't go thur it; even right before a race.
