Ha ha a small step up from the caravan alright, no holes in the floor now! Id take the caravan in Limerick over the poolside villa in Riyadh any day if the money was the same.
David I'm curious about the apparent haze in the background of your Saudi landscapes. Usually that sort of thing is the result of humidity or air pollution. I didn't think they have humidity or air pollution in the desert. So I'm guessing the haze is extremely fine dust particles that remain suspended in the air after you ride your motorcycle?
Yea Tom it usually takes two to three weeeks for the dust to settle after I go for a spin The desert sand is unbelievably fine and gets whipped up into the atmosphere by wind and small tornado's which are everywhere in the desert, I really must start carrying my camera and try get a photo of one. Its great in that it reduces the strength of the sun but there are apparently a lot of respiratory problems. As you drive into Riyadh, 70 odd miles from me the smog over the city is just incredible! Its sickening, when I think how much it has cost the Irish economy over the last 20 years to reduce its carbon foot print and then to see that.
It's tough in the Gulf, as they say eh, David? This is the little shack they gave me to live in when I was out there...
