Not sure what you mean? I wanted the roll in the toe. The foot is stretched forward and the heels are too forward trying to roll in. I rolled the toe and forged the heels a bit wider.
That's what I thought too when I first glanced at the photo. Then when I looked again, I realized my eyes were playing tricks on me because they had failed to 'see' the rolled toe portion of the web of the shoe.
Sorry Kim, I did exactly as Rick described. At first (and second ) glance it looks like the shoe has been ground down to half the width to bring the point of break over back, but on closer inspection I can see that you have rasped the shoe back to roll the toe: The similarity in colour between the sole and the rasped toe of the shoe deceives the eye.It was late at night after coming in from the pub!
That. Very bright outside with no lights inside so I literally couldn't see the bottom of the foot. Mud puddles everywhere. Kept shitting and standing in it. Basically name anything that could go wrong and it was going wrong. LOL There's something about your hands smelling like you just washed them in manure when you get done shoeing a horse that just puts me in a bad mood!

I nailed a pair of shoes on there smitty. Trying to fit shoes with a rim pad of manure covering the foot while flying through the air doesn't bring a smile to my face for some reason.
Nothing special here, I like to make a pair of shoes a day for feet to keep my hand in and here is todays effort. Made in 4 heats.
