It looks smaller than mine, unless those are "Big Hoof" rasps.

    John,

The man posted a picture of the box that he made, not sure if your aware but the title of the thread is"Things you ve made".

No desperate on my part but it would be interesting to see and or hear an explanation bout the half size box that you would prefer, with that, who knows someone might explain why they use a larger box or why for them ,that a smaller box might not suffice or that an even smaller box might work for their situation.

And none of this takes away from the fact that Gary and others have posted things that they made in this thread.

This might be off topic, but it does pertain to the size requirements of my shoing box.

In my box I carry: Three rasps, pull offs, nippers, wire brush, crease nail pullers, nail nipper, driving hammer, clinch block, clinchers, box of nails, gouge, buffer, hoof knife, frog knife, 2 sanding blocks, small bottle of iodine for luck, bottle of Hoof Shield.

How does what you carry differ?

    Regards

    Why three rasps, rick?
And don't you have pockets on your chaps for your knives?

I have used a bucket in the past, when a horse has jumped all over my box!
    Works surprisingly well...

I was thinking about going the bucket route. That, and a milk crate to sit on and some gardening gloves. :D :D :D

Sell em and ten kilos of Farriers formula and then ask for the bucket back!

may i suggest that you do as Gary has said .but instead of asking for the bucket back, you rent them the bucket, then you get paid for the use of your bucket, and retain ownership!
