What Constitutes A Good Shoe Job

    now i have seen a few great jobs done down the years
    but one that stands out is a job Dave D done in the RDS
    International
    caulking and wedge on foot
    i have yet to see better
    if my memory is correct he got two tens in the hole job and the rest were 9+

    Dave told me a story about a job Pop Marshall (Bob Marshall's father) did at a competition where the judge was down on his hands and knees trying to find a flaw. He speaks of "Pop Marshall" in a tone of reverence.

    He must have been good
    the job i mentioned Dave done was an Army horse
    and we shod all the Army horses at Mc Kee barricks

    so when the horse needed shoeing there was a fight to who would
    get the shoe
    my brother ended up getting it
