Forgot to put in last post, the Transit he used was the Connect. The small one not the bigger one. Sorry.
I switched from my transit to a smaller Renault kangoo, which is in the same size range as the transit connect. I can see how some one who has been using a much bigger vehicle might find it takes a bit of getting used to but I find it fine for getting around the lanes of rural England and it will happily sit at 70 MPH on the motorway. I posted pics of how I kitted it out when I got it, which can be seen here : http://farriersforum.com/threads/have-i-got-the-smallest.867/
I have had my transit for 6 years, I have had to replace a bulb once. Rear tyres did 60000 miles or more.
any suggestions as to sites where this man,and others might see some set up ideas for vans, some time ago, it was requested of me to look up some info about an Michael Vialant site the company in France, they have some pictures of vans set up in the "trucks section ,i think, not sure that thje Transit is a done deal but the man was looking for set ups is the euro style vans, though it good to hear folks thoughts bout different vehicles brands. thanks ray
I did my inside of my VW Transporter. I made my own anvil stand, forge stand, shoe handing board and such. Yea, it took some time but I got what works for me.
