No news is usually good news. But it's always nice to actually get the good news.

Doesn't a horse get confused about which way to go with them omnidirectional shoes?

The thoughts behind it Tom, it's a hardy solid horse, feet are in good strong condition but it has 2/10 lameness Onnthe left fore mainly. I'm thinking it could have boney changes around the fetlock and pastern. So an omnidirectional shoes will help with easing the breakover and reduce any restricting forces that can jar up that area. First time I've shod the horse so will be interested to see if it goes any better.

Ever wonder if the crease in the toe makes a difference? 'nuther words why not a half round/oval section with no crease?

A lot of the problems are how much road work the horses I shoe for do and just how slippery the roads are, hense the double road pins as far back as I have them. Also, problems with flat section rounded up is the weight and if you have a horse with boney changes around the joint regions I feel it's not a great idea to add too much weight. I can see where your coming from but concave with its lightness and slight grip it can offer with the outside web of the section hammered down to create a half round affect in my opinion with suit this horse better. But we will see in 4 weeks time when it's reshod :)
