I got a call this weekend to work on a rescue case , The lady in charge said it has been awhile since it was trimmed, ....Before Pics
LOL, Trust me i did 4 happy hackers would of been able to work on this pony and then still take more off. I go back next week to check on it and trim some more off , I'll get after pics then
Hacksaw and cut it right back in one sweep. Level the base and put that pony back to work.... my 2 cents worth
I had an elf pony about a month ago. I followed Reillyshoe's advice and trimmed a bunch with a grinder. Worked great, the pony didn't care, and it took me less time-which was better for both of us.
It looked like Gary Warners BURRKING, We shipped the pony to a location with 3phase electric, anesthetized the pony in a sling, then raised the pony so that I could hold the feet up to the Grinder. We then shipped the pony in the sling to a wake-up pool. The operation was very efficient. Although, if you were really in a pinch you could go with the hacksaw.
That's what I did Bruce, but the pony probably won't work for awhile. The rescue people have control of it .
