They say they're changing it back to the way it used to be. Not sure what's taking so long. It craps out on me all the time. Though this site is messed up right now too. You can't even register to this site for some reason. Maybe farrier websites are just doomed. lol
Im IN you lill bwety Thankyou Ecca Looks different works better n faster good O Thanks for all your hard work Steve good on ya mate
Why Mate? ax expretes/ Written by Chris Gregory Q) My horse is being treated for "loss of bone" and a torn suspensory ligament. After MRI he was also diagnosed with "moderate navicular". He has been treated with Tildren. It's been two months now. The first vet recommended a wedge pad for his high/low syndrome and the "stem cell" vet said take the shoes off completely while he's on stall rest so they can spread out. Since he doesn't seem to be getting any better I'd like to shoe him again and see if that will help. My question is do I need to use pads or can I get away with an aluminum wedge? In this edition of "Ask the Expert," Chris Gregory discusses how to shoe a horse with moderate pain in the navicular. Chris Gregory of Heartland Horseshoeing School gives us the answer: "I personally would much rather use a wedged shoe without the pads if I can get away with it. The aluminum navicular bar shoes are a pretty good shoe for horses with pain in the navicular region, and I use them more often than I would a wedge pad. If there is any foot tenderness with hoof testers, I will often do a pour-in with Equipak as well." See Previous Ask The Expert Q&A's suspensories get angry "with wedges".
Just pissed that people don't learn their jobs. Or functions of the legs of a horse. Legs, Carpus , Tarsus foot ; down. I love capitalism but I disdain a " un educated moron"! Where's the bone loss? what grade lameness, Rads, and disipline , age and breed is the horse?.... Bla Bla Bla.... I want this fker doing clinics for us here in Georgia. Just being "A realitive bitch".
Having a website which horse owners log in to ask questions to farriers in a forum and then having a separate section of the website asking an expert farrier questions makes perfects sense.
Whatever happened to Patrik? I thought the deal was that the mods either get rid of JM or he (Pat) was gone from here. I think the mods have been holding up their end of the deal, silencing JM when he tries to sneak in under various names from time to time, so where's Patrik? Guess he took his toys and went to play somewhere else?
Jack (or who ever he is) has not been banned, he chose to depart because Ray deleted his posts after Jack failed to deliver on his promise to post pictures of his work after Anthony disclosed his training. After all of Jack's personal insults to forum members (including, but certainly not limited to myself) and their work, I decided to make a stand. I think it is interesting that Ray made an issue out of Jack's promise while ignoring his other behaviors, but that is up to Ray (whom I still consider a good friend). I choose to share farrier cases and conversations in a setting that affords some level of professional behavior. I banned Jack (and Travis Morgan) after one comment on my Facebook page and they have not been back. I'll be back if the policy here changes.
How cool is that? I could make myself look like a horseshoeing god. I could be Smitty, I could be Bill Adams, I could be you Eric. All a definite move up, with hardly any work at all. Get it Ray!!
I do thank pat for explaining where stands on the matter..I was also unclear of why he failed to return after ray cleaned up.. he said ban and I can't fault a man for saying what he means and meaning what he says.. I also respect rays stand point ..but could understand it a bit more if those two had offered more ..I do feel jack at times made a good point or at least a point even if not good..as it stands non of us wins..
Not really. I forget how exactly it works but if you start a thread you have moderator options s for that thread.
Pat, It appears JM's posts are always removed because he never offered an apology for his personal insults, not because he didn't deliver on a promise to post photos of his work. I'm really sorry you have chosen to take a stand that JM be officially banned before you decide to come back; what the mods have done here seems to be having the same effect as an outright ban, yet leaves the option for JM to return as long as he is civil. Nothing wrong with him having an opposing viewpoint and expressing it, is there, as long as he does so respectfully? As Travis stated: none of us wins.
