I've been trying to work less and fish more for the past couple months. I really enjoy my profession, but I love fishing. This time of year is the pinnacle of fishing season and I will be mostly MIA until it is over. I also suffer the delusion that I am a good chef and I have been making some great meals with fish...fried, baked, grilled, cioppinio, etc.
I bought one of these this weekend at the sportsmans show. I'm picking it and a 3 horse motor up in 2 weeks, when I go to the forging clinic in Stetson. Brian, I am shooting under docks with jigs. Travis, it is a Lowe Roughneck R1860 VPT. Rick, one of my best friends has one of those that he fishes and duck hunt out of. Loves it.
Way to go Mr. Scruggs. I just wish I was in that boat with you. Of course if I were, I'd bring a rack of Carlsberg!!
Well, you sir, are most welcome any time. We fish for catfish every weekend in the summer. We set out 50 'jugs'...which are actually pool noodles cut into pieces, with reflective tape on them. We usually go through a few beers...never had a Carlsberg, but feel free to bring a rack when you arrive.
