I dont see why you would forge or stretch if plain stamping is that not just for when fullering?

My point was that when people are having a hard time figuring a measuring system it's because they're forging it and don't know it.

here's an idea...........write it down what you did when you missed the heels; then add 1/2 inch of steel so you have a 1/4 inch on each side; then you won't miss the heels...........I have done this myself; so I understand........try it......measure, cut, add slight extra; because you can always hammer finish the heels or grind down if over length. but you can put the heels on; once cut to short(y).....OK!;):coffee:

David when i got to the yard the owner changed her mind
said she just wanted the pony dressed
so i got the 1st year to trim the pony
when he had one foot done i got him to slap a ruler on it
and i said i make an egg-bar before your finished the trim
10 mins ,one look at the foot only
    i was an 1/8 out IMG_0655.JPG IMG_0657.JPG IMG_0658.JPG IMG_0659.JPG IMG_0660.JPG IMG_0662.JPG

This is another one on trial ..i passed on this one due to I felt i would wanna really do a lot of changes and I can't help but wonder if he is jacked up or shod like this for some reason ..this did not happen over night and he jumps pretty nice .[I know where this horse come from and the farrier although i don't agree with said farriers style i know he does do a lot of clinic and education ..is there any reason yall can see why this guy may be shod this way..he is pretty far along in the Shoeing but them heels did not get like that over night.... Travis , in the UK especially if I were familiar with the farrier I would ring and ask him.
