I was having a phone conversation with a farrier on Friday and he told me that he had recently followed up with a client after a horse was trimmed via the "Medical Trim" . I couldn't get an explanation of the parameters of this protocol because the farrier explaining couldn't put it into words.(I pretty sure that he was trying to figure it out ,just as I was) Has anyone run into this one or should we collectively "trademark/copyright" it sell the word usage and start a retirement fund! Recently I was asked by an owner to trim her horse's 'argonauts'. I've also been asked to work on a 'floundered' horse and a 'vehicular' horse. I think we should all start using the term 'medical trim' and charge accordingly....
I've seen a lot of posts on forums asking about floundered horses.... sounds fishy loads asking about horse's confirmation.... god knows I've also had someone asking me about argonaughts. when my grandson was tiny he used to call me 'grandad hor' to distinguish me from grandad white car. I found it cute. Susan, on the other hand, would have preferred not to have been known as Nana hor.
