    Rarly justen . Do you see a lot of this ?evan then i woud think the nail woud have to bend befor the shoe would shift in witch case i cant see how a clinch woud help .

    Not these days, but I shod in the Middle East for ten years, so I have done my share.
    Never had it happen there either.

    Beautiful work, as always, Smitty.
    The medial heel on the roadster shoe seems short by your standards, is that the normal length for a roadster?
    I have never done one, so I ask out of interest, not criticism.

    or the raised heel rolled toe job?

    little confused here John , i cannot see the rolled toe as i know one and i thought a spavin shoe had a set toe , but i am on the beer

    I role it on the horn of the anvil

    John do you not find the heels get destroyed from the extra pressure of the caulk and wedge? I have never used them on hunters but when I worked with Sam we used put them on most flapping ponies and since then race horses and they destroyed the heels of those tb's.
