    this is an old photo of me in April, May of 1996 with my Icelandic horse. I was 33 years old at the time.
    I had just became a Journeyman Horseshoer at the track.

    I haven't changed much since then.

    Patty as long as u been in this business you did not know we did not do our best on each horse..at the start of each week we sit down and make a list...see picture..on the note card notice the horses with the red star beside it..well those on gonnavget our best we can..the others we gonna do a half ass job on those.. 20130607_190405.jpg

    Have you bar shoes on up front Michael?
    and is that an old gravel wound on the near hind?

    I have one of thoses old gravel wound on the horse with hind hand mades I just did. It's at the nail line so in the next 3 shoeings it will be come PITA....and need a patch on it.

    Ok, yes back to shoeing...................going to make some shoes up at the hammer-in today....and shoeing an interesting case; so pics later this week:D

    I will work on it.

    some of us getting together to work on our shoes for CJF and others on more making different type of shoes, some are there for the making the barshoe for the CJF test. I'll be there to make shoes all day and hope to a least make 1 CJF barshoe; but will have to borrow the Abner's forge to weld it. Mine won't weld shoe right.
    Got to go now!

    Good eye on the bar shoes. He was in bar shoes and equipack on the front. Strained suspensory on front right.
    I took them off and put him in an open heel shoe with equipack this time.

    Not an old gravel. I rode him in the rocks while barefoot on the hinds. Chipped up pretty bad for a short ride.

    I think she is saying it welds to the left but not to the right. So she has to borrow the right flux to finish:-D

    No i'm talking about the near hind in the middle of the foot
    he broke out at some time
