I went out to work on the old percheron I showed y'all in post 59. Ended up doing a square toed Patton bar using stacked aluminum bar stock for the bar. Sorry I don't have better pictures of the shoe but my phone died when I started taking pics. This was a couple weeks ago and the owner called to say he is walking on that leg without Bute now.
now can you remove the stacks of aluminum if needed? what was the size of the shoe? was it handmade or mod draft keg?
Yes I can remove the bar stock one piece at a time. It's a modified kerkhart #5. If it had been an actual bar shoe it would have been a handmade but for what I wanted to do here this was easier and quicker.
