Horrible stuff that was done to the big mare. In the case of the TWH, an organized equestrian industry did this. Not only do they do this, they give them championships and accolades for it. But you are right about being a farrier does not automatically make you a good guy. I hope the two that were standing there smiling and in particular the one that was holding the horse get to go to court too. But I hear there may not be a trial - he is pleading guilty to something and will surely law low a ittle and get back to his dirty deeds. I wonder if you could say that to win you would need to do that stuff? How would one win without the cruelty? And then there's all those good horses or good trainers that don't win. Too bad , I'm sure those non-sorers know exactly who is soring. And they remain silent? Then batting and zapping a horse's head and neck, well, it makes me want to puke. I just don't understand why more people that are associated with those shows don't say anything. Remember years ago when race horses were being messed with? They sure cracked down on that. Just had to rant.

Those high stepping horses look awful, there's nothing pretty about it. A gaited horse was bred to be a comfortable ride for plantation owners way back when. Can you imagine how comfy those stacked horses are being ridden out on the plantation all day? Now days, if something like that was out on trail, it would scare all the wildlife away.
