I'm hoping this isn't a derailment, but since the title is track shoeing, I have a question.

I was talking to a lady at the horse show yesterday and the subject of track shoeing and training came up. To get to the short of it, she told me all about how trainers, owners, farriers, etc. could "get their ticket pulled" if they did something wrong, and wouldn't be able to participate anywhere in the US.

I asked who would "pull the ticket" and she answered it would be the track steward. So far so good. Since it is my impression that TB racing is controlled by each individual state I asked her who could possibly "pull their ticket" so that they would not be allowed on any track in the US. Her answer was "the national organization", although she could not remember the name.

The only national organizations I know of would be The Jockey Club and The IUJH, neither of which I think would be involved in such action, would they?

I haven't been able to find reference to any national organization controlling TB racing. Can one of you more knowledgeable folks educate me? Thanks in advance.

    Regards

The Stewards work for the racing commission , they have the power to refuse you a licence if for example ,trainer gets a positive test or owes money, ect.
They can rule you off temporary or for life , depends what kind of trouble you were in.
Most states will honor a ruling from another state, so if your ruled off in florida, you not going to get on a track in New York.

AFAIK, most international jurisdictions honour rulings from others. This is certainly true amongst Aus, NZ, HK Singapore etc

IUJH can only pull your licence to the stewards in a IUJH ran track, Philadelphia/Suffock Downs in Boston, and 1 more which I don't which one that is. Delaware Park use to; but not now.
this also applies to Arabian racing, and Standardbred tracks, QH, Appaloosa racing tracks as well
