How is the keg shoe modified?

I wouldn't consider shaping a modification.

Pretty cool how you got the fullering to match the machine fullering.

Do you center punch the end of the fullering? If so why?

Thanks, Eric.....Mike Bailey had shown me some tips on fullering when we had a hammer in down at Abners this summer. showing me how to kick it out {fuller/creaser} before starting the fullering. yes I center punch the end of the fullering to give me an eye on keeping my fullering straighter.
it just happened that shoe was a mistake that turned out better than expected and I had a keg that looks like handforged and got it to match each other.

On my screen they definitely look hind shaped. Maybe it's because the shoes are orientated horizontally, which makes them look elongated.

well as an example you have shown its a poor effort

maybe you think that way; but it was a mistake shoe and it was a salvaged shoe and I never waste any shoes that are made in the forge; I always find a use for them, and it could have nailed on too.

Linda, feel free to drive over to my house so I can get your heels looking like a heel and fullering to look like fullering.

Ha, you can't say the shoe is nailable and keep the pics up clearly showing it wasn't.
