    I had to chuckle at this one Smitty. You and the "disappeared" Jaye Perry are well known for giving a minimum of information in your written answers. On the other hand, your pictures are usually worth a thousand words.

    I guess we call that setting back the shoe, which would mean using either a quarter clipped shoe or a shoe without clips.

    I use clips very seldom and haven't used toe clips for about 17 years or more.

    Yea Bill, you need to post a picture of a horse you shod without clips or nobody will ever believe you actually shod a horse like that and got away with it.

    Well I know my clips aren't the best in the world, but they are strong enough and I feel high enough, and I tried to get them centered. Plus seeing how I don't do them much I feel I need to once in an while to just do it.

    The girls seem to smart. All the boys learned and Eli (age 24) is running his own shoeing business. Jess is looking forward to the end of October when he turns 18 as he claims he'll never have to lift a horse's foot again.
