    Hey All!

I am new here and am in need of serious help. My girlfriend works on her family dairy farm and one of her tasks is to take care of the hoofs of the herd. On multiple occasions she has commented she wants a new exact replacement knife as seen in the pictures. If you have any idea who made this knife or where I can get this exact knife, you would get me so many brownie points. Thank you all in advance.

    David,

joken aside, another suggestion would be to clean up the tool that you want to get an exact of and see if it is marked. then you will have your answer and or give precise dimensions and some one may be able to duplicate for you.... other than that, you are looking for someone here to do the ground work ........and for you to collect the browney points with your lady,.. a common malady in my estimation.........

Thank you all for the suggestions. Ray, I can assure you...I have been through the ENTIRE internet and did 3 hours of searching(I wish I was kidding) before I resorted to a forum full of guys who use these sort of tools everyday. I have 3 really good friends that are farriers and they had never seen that exact knife and were kind of blown away at the size. She doesn't live too far from amish country and was talking about taking it up there to get it duplicated but I figured I would give it a shot online considering she bought it on Nasco.com 3 years ago. I have even looked on european sites with no luck after finding a similar knife called a swiss draw knife. Thanks again Guys!

Almost looks like it's hand made, and there's still lots of blade to clean up and sharpen.
As to points from the girl friend, rember the old saying "The way to a woman's heart it through her dairy cow hoof trimming tools".

Thanks again Guys! Ray, I called Nasco Thursday and their records only go back 2 years....go figure. It seems hand made to me as well...maybe a certain tool maker that was selling through Nasco. As for the cleaning it up part to find make or nationality....she refuses to clean it. Don't ask..... Chris, Thank you for the find..however, she has two of those and hates it. Oh I forgot to mention she is not very big on change....so when something is not what she is used to....she isn't happy...hence why I wanted to find this exact one. Bill, That is what 2 of my buddies said when they saw the picture. They also recommended sharpening a little different than the way she has been doing it to get more life out of it. Thanks again Y'all!
