I like to put the nails at the front of the fullering too, when I need to remove the nail I just lift the clench then put the flat surface of my cutters on the tip of the clench and give the shoe and tap with the hammer alongside the head of the nail. This will pop the head of the nail up high enough to get hold of.

I wish I did Gary. I'm trying to make all of my larger shoes. 3/8 by 1. I think I struggle with making a section out of that steel. So I really been working on it.
Nice to see that even an old brood mare gets your best work. Why does she need to be shod to go for inspection and what does go for inspection ' mean? (We tend to take shoes off brood mares. ..)
Her foal is going to holstiner inspection. To be a graded on type, movement and branded.. the mare has been sore footed for a bit and the inspection site has a lot of gravel. To be honest this is my wife's mare.
Have client with a horse that qualified for a big show. The horses hocks must be feeling to well. Trainer wanted am extra inch hung out the back for better stops! I'm sure it won't effect the spins at all! I didn't feEl like buying any bigger sliders. Horse usually wears a 12.
