Gary, nice work but in my neighborhood, the cost of concave would make that a pricey stamp

Concave is not that expensive here, but I mainly used that because it was a 12 inch off cut of inch by half and since I could never see myself making a twelve inch shoe from that section, I thought I might as well make use of it as a stamp handle.

The shoeing Irish farrier Paul Duddy does isn't all that much different than what American farriers do, but they don't get to work in 400-years-old castles.

    Very good..

It appears to me that it may seem to you john, that i m picking on your off topicness, or that you hope that i will single you out...........

while i admire your mechanics in this trade, and many of your contributions to the forums, believe it or not, i m just trying to keep the forums orderly and i get an impression that you would like to see them, the forums ,fail, for whatever reason,

with that, may i suggest that if your not happy here, just don t post,or post somewhere else and be happy, if i have misread your intent, i apologize in advance.

to all here, please try to keep on topic, for the most part i think we do, but the topic of this thread is "things you ve made"

    thanks

It feels good to me Smitty. I had some 3/4 3/8 and 7/8 3/8 I could have used, but they both felt a little small in my hand. I usually use a Blurton stamp, which has a cast handle that is quite bulky and heavy, so I guess the inch by half is the closest to that.

To be honest, there's so little posting going on these days that I'm just happy to read peoples' posts - on topic or otherwise!

My wife asked me to make a Christmas present for some friends so I thought I'd have a go at a ram's head poker. ..
