    David,

let me know when you feel that you have squeezed the last breath out of it please.

A new batch of 70 pcs is due in today or tomorrow, not enough that i can lift the 2 pcs. per order but expecting 500 pcs, within a few weeks, with another 500 to follow, at that time I will be able to supply in greater quantities per order, and to think about some bulk pricing if users are interested.

    Thanks

    Michael,

they leave in tomorrow s mail.

please let me/us know how they work for you

usually this time of year the hooves in this area have turned very hard ,but not this year, while dry,the dew and relative humidity have kept the feet quite pliable and growing !

    thanks

Had a short conversation with Michael Allen yesterday, to summarize, the fine side of the "Preffered" is clogging on the very dry hooves, I hope he 'll give a better explanation here when he has time.

As I stated before the hooves have not hardened around here so I can t really put the "Preffered"to that test, the one that I started with sometime ago is still chugging along, but I thought bout changing it out,

Everyone else has either not let me know results or have been very satisfied,

another 504, have arrived, and are sharpened, seems the pipeline has opened.

I started with the second one. I got one foot done. It was clogging on both sides. I decided to put it up until feet get softer. However I did think I noticed a large bur where the brake is on th course side.

Ray, help me understand this. You have to be physically involved in the manufacturing process of these plains? The blanks are not meeting minimum standards? why bother?

    Brian,

not sure if I can help you understand, course I could never make my mother understand why I would do that "dirty" outdated job of shoeing horses a, among other things.

These mill tooth are a tough item to make, a real challenge to any engineer or metal worker, probably why they are relatively new to this market, not to say that the mill tooth is a new type of file, it s been round along time. Being a specialty file, it s application to the horses hoof is relatively new. I think it will be worth the extra effort.
Manufacturing is not always, have an idea, put it to a machine, sell out, .......I think it ll come.

I really like the course side of the plane. It removes a ton of hoof and leaves a smooth finish. It's chattery when bevelling the edge of the hoof. Using less pressure helps of course. I also have been less than impressed with the fine side.

I have one word of caution. Treat them gently. I have broken three, in three different ways. If memory serves I had about fifty trims on the one that lasted the longest and it was still cutting well.

    Regards

The last load of mill tooths were very well accepted, after rejecting 600 pcs, I should have another 300 pcs available in the next week or 2

Just started with a brand new prefferred today. Love it. The design seems to have changed slightly on the smooth side. Its better than I remember. Sharp... not clogging. Had it on about 10 horses today and no changes. Reminds me of the original Pferd... almost.
