I'm wracking my brain, trying to remember an old product (circa 1960s) to paint on the soles and frog to toughen them. The old trainer I worked for called it "LYE-nite" but I have no idea what the real product name was. Can any of you old folks (I'm one of you) remember it? It was pretty good stuff.
The product was Dr. Naylor's Linite. My old farrier friend said it's been discontinued for many, many years now. The old horseman who taught me the basics used it on all his horses.
