Karen have you ever lived in Arkansas or Nebraska ? For some reason that keeps popping in to my head when I read your posts.

George when i attended the big foot c
onference a few years back, Wade was on the panel of guest speakers. He said he had come up with a shoe for the disney trolley horses and Disney patented it. In no way did he imply the rubber shoe's that have to be bent with a jig. (at least the way I heard him) Sad to say shortly after this Wade was killed in a car accident. It is my understanding his son is doiung the shoeing for Disney/Florida now along with some helpers.
    my 2 cents worth ;)

    Its
Its an excellent read if one is sitting on the throne & may anticipate there being a shortage of paper after the completion of the task.

Several of us had a big arugement with the guy who invented the "Eagle Eye" thing a few years back on the other forum. I talked about it retarding one's learning and skill and how the name was an insult to those of us with a bit of a practiced Eagle Eye. One fellow kind of won the debate when he posted a copy of an 1800' patent for the same tool, made of wood instead of plastic.
Jack, I use that hoof ruler on almost every horse, cleans out the foot quite nicely.

Bill i'v seen that same kinda idea in an old English woodworking!!! tool catalogue . But made all from steel. Its uses was for marking out off set holes in the sides & end of timber. The plate had a small centred hole in the middle of it where you poked your scriber through to mark & 8 lockable adjustable pegs. The only difference I can see is the material its made from & the small central hole missing.

I liked the demo of the guy in the vid you posted. took ten times as long to fit a shoe that wouldn't be fit for support, not to mention you can only work one shoe at a time.
I think that's the fellow who joined our discussion back then. Came off as a guy who figured he'd become a billionaire reinventing shoeing.

I think they were using them prior to Wade coming up with a different shoe. At least that is my understanding Friend.
I guess the best thing to do is all of us go for a week end at Disney in Florida and check out the shoe's on the trolley horses. I have two brothers who live in Melborne Fla. not far from Disney so i am sure we can have a base to go from.
Either way I wonder if Disney could handle all the farriers from this site at one time.

    my 2 cents worth ;)

Yep his a first class cock head. What never seems to surprise me with theses jokers who ramble on with their X-spurt opinions . Is the fact they could never shoe or trim a horse properly in the first place. Wouldn't you think that would be your staring point . Before you went off wrote a book & started telling people your an expert with some authority on a subject.
