    Thanks for the link

as to the "free advertising" , your site shows a bit of advertising, as I understand ,in the advertising game the more exposure/members a venue receives the more $ that can be asked for space , so while signing up is free ,as is here on farriersforum.com or at horseshoes.com, is the advertisement display for say the fencing company etc. free as well? If so, let me know.... I'll put the word out!

    regards

I just stumbled around this site, www.farriersforum.com and tripped over a free directory on it. It's heading is at the top of this page marked ,of all things, Directory, last I looked it was free of charge, and I thought I saw a business directory somewhere, again selling for the big bucks!

I'm going home and count my percentages,

guess we should start charging for it. An old farrier/blacksmith friend of mine once gave me this piece of advice, don't ever give anything away for free, cause whhen you do ,you just said what it was worth, alot of those old folk knew what they were talking about!

    Regards

    Ray

<<"We just launched the new site design and system at eFarriers.com and would love to get some feedback from farriers as to the usability">>
To me this is just a sneaky way of advertising your site

<< "I'm not sure how "free advertising" helps me here">>
Pretty disingenuous of you, Ray explained how this helps

I would classify this as spam, and remove as per our Terms of Services and Rules

    You got that right!
Maybe there should be a limit to having, say, 100 posts to be allowed to mention any business at all, even in your signature.

Well, it was a genuine request for feedback, but since no one else see it as such, I have deleted the content as well as the signature.

Okay, well I guess it's not worth 100 posts. Hmmm, wants "advice", not membership

Lol...Karen kind of reminded me of the quike shoe guy...played along to get what he wanted and then poof he was gone..i must admit I was a tad pissed cause when he did post it was good stuff..and that's the whole reason I fool with these sites..I learn from farriers and horse owners...
