What I'm doing for my birthday. Horse wouldn't let me hot seat them. Turned this from a 3 kerkheart front. Didnt have any hinds that size. I think I did good.

Well I didn't resect anything, it was broke out. Must be the picture. Both nails are in solid wall ahead of the broken wall. I've got three in the medial side.
Wet conditions seem to be playing havoc with the feet at the moment. (This one hadn't lost the shoe, I took the picture after removing it)
Thank goodness its not just me. I spoke to my mentor today about it and he is seeing a lot of feet like this too.
....I LIED another toe clip...vet wants a perimeter fit...said she wanted the toe to match the corn band..Humm.. I will say nailing on perimeter fit shoes makes ya nail and nailing a bit easier imo...this time last year it was pull the shoe back to a extreme...can we not just shoe the damn horse with a good Shoeing anymore..not pull way back ..or not a long toe ...just a happy middle.. I don't know horse prob go fine..I think its to much toe for his job..the problem I run into is this vet says perimeter and if horse gets hurt he will go to the clinic and they will say way toe much toe...
Hope your liability insurance is paid up. If you disagree with what the vet wants, but do it anyway then you're committing malpractice. You can't hold the vet accountable for something you knowingly do wrong by your own hand. OTOH a court of law can hold you accountable if you purposely did something you know is wrong just to make the vet happy. Vet gets off clean either way.
Tom, could you cite some case law and/or appropriate precedents, for us members of the unwashed? Personal experience, maybe?
On the for real...how do u guys like Jaye..Brian ..and even pat that does a lot of vet work handle this type of thing.. tom I would not say a fit like such is malpratice ...just because I did not agree with what was done...who the hell am I anyway..I'm just a hack in podunk Alabama that does not even hold any certs..no nothin ..
