Lots of organizations offer their members AD&D insurance, the AFA and AAPF, for instance. Do any of you know of anyone who has collected on this insurance. Or of anyone who has tried? I guess I'm wondering just how valuable or important this. It has been part of my rational for being a long time AFA member. What do you all think? Regards
Luckily I don't know anyone who has had to use it. Also never had anybody have to collect on the AD&D policy we had at the volunteer fire dept.
Im not sure if my wife would know to use it if something happend to me. I should make a list of different insurance policies i have, for her.
Rick, I do know second hand - friend of a friend - of one person whose widow collected. My friend had to tell her about it tho. Make sure your beneficiary knows. I didn't know it was still in place, but I'm at that longevity stage that I no longer pay for my membership so haven't paid attention. Probably doesn't apply to me with a free membership anyhow.
Good to know Jack, and good advice. Ann has been informed, in fact she may be planning my accident as I type, LOL. Free membership or not, I expect that you're going outlive us all. Regards
Speaking of accidents, how many of you have caught a nail in a finger and used Superglue to hold it together instead of goin to the ER for stitches?
I've never thought of using super glue to hold a nail in a finger, but I have used it to repair a split toe nail.
