Look at this utter bullshat.. so this farrier is to loose money just because she dont wanna pay up or call a vet..and people wonder why farriers can be a bit brash at times...............:.........Please read lately there's been alot of Farriers on here advertising there the best which they may be good but i had a horse split its hoof and ask if they would come out and take care of it but they say they won't come out for one horse which i understand some of it but when they are willing to let your horse go lame over a few dollars thats just wrong so watch who you hire and to the Farriers shame on you find another job!!!!!

Location: Alabama it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial

If that owner is willing to pay me the fee I demand then I will fly over tommorow and trim the horse for her!!

The moral is that good clients don't have any problems getting farriers.

craigslist does give you an option to "flag" an ad, Travis, for inappropriate content. I'd use it ;)

I hate the way she states that the farrier said in his ad he is the best...I only seen two ads and none said any of the sort or implies such.. one listed he was AFA ..and had some pics and give a web site and Facebook and said feel free to look us up..the other was pretty normal and simple.. what I see is she called said farrier and it was prob pretty clear she was not a owner he wanted tied up with so he let her off with I can't come out for one horse.. 2 nd .. why does she call her own farrier ..because she ain't got one I bet so we know neglect was a issue I'm sure..or money is the issue ..if he is lame call a vet but she's the one letting money get in the way..or haul him to the vet ..mabey she can't afford a truck or trailer once agian that's her damn issue not the farrier..it just burns my azz up that she is dog this farrier and hell he did the right thing and the format used he can't even defend or tell his side of the story ..this makes a good case of why not to place a farrier ad on that format..I have never and would like to think I never would but if you need work then we often do what we have to... I just thought what a piss poor horse owner to do that to those guys that did have an ad on there..

My personal opinion is if you put an ad on craigslist you are asking for this kind of client. The type of horse owners most of us want to work for would not call a farrier from craigslist. Most people who would call from an ad like this will have bad horses, poor working conditions and only be concerned with how much it is going to cost them. I get calls from time to time when the first thing out of their mouth is " how much do you charge". I automatically double my price and they they usually say "we'll let you know". I haven't gotten one bad client this way.
