Do not count as advertising =) Tried these for the first time recently on several navicular horses with agreement of owners. Used unclipped ones. Mostly looked at them as alternative for eggbars with full pad and silicone packing for naviculars. Looked very nice - exceptionally good shock-absorption, closed frog almost like with eggbars. Do not have to care for keeping frog healthy. All tried horses move better then on eggbars, looked more confident in feeling the ground. Do not have to take out an anvil - just cut excess with nippers, if rocker is needed - rasp some toe off. Disadvantages - only 2 kind of forms - round and oval, could be difficult or even impossible to fit for hinds or contracted hoof. Also, kind of "unusual" nail holes - could be inconvenient to use any kind of pad. The other hand of shock absorption - shoe is elastic, despite of steel insertion (the dark thing inside) - have to drive nails quite high and clinch `em very tight. Could be difficult to pull - nail holes (and nails) are somewhat buried in the shoe, no nail crease. Oh, not mentioned - very wear-resistant. Resetting in 5 to 6 weeks shows almost no wear even on rockered toes. Maybe someone would find it useful when looking for plastic shoes.
