I had one a few weeks ago on my right wrist. It took the attention away from the arthritis in my left wrist, so it was cool for a while, but then it went away. The way I generally treat this type of ailment is to work 'till it feels better.

Gary, have you Googled "ganglion cyst"? Sounds like you can probably just rub some dirt on it and walk it off. I thought the bible treatment sounded cool too. I guess to me what I did would depend on whether or not it hurt.

Yes Rick I did. Just one nurse I shoe for said sometimes they will wrap around the tendon. No promise they will not come back if removed? Just is a bothersome kinda issue. Lots of rubbing to work the soreness out...kinda affects hammering too.:(

Gary, I had one on my wrist in high school. Went to the doctor and he took the little hammer they test your reflexes with and whacked it hard. It dissolved almost immediately, but it hurt like a son of a gun for a minute or two. He then told me that if it ever came back to Just take a good sized hard back book and hit it myself so I didn't have to pay for the pain again. It came back twice and I just hit it and it went away.

I also had one on my foot but it also had a bone spur under it and it took surgery to get rid of.

Yes, right where it joins into the wrist. Just thinking about it I can touch the spot and remember the pain, but it's gone now.
