Had a customer who pulled the sliders off her horse for a month. When it came back in there was nothing to hang the shoe on. So I pulled a good high toe clip, quarter clips, buffed the shoe clean, cleaned the hoof and glued it on with Vettec Adhear. I then put equilox round the outside over the clips with two layers of fiberglass matting worked in. After I wrapped it with clear rap to smooth out the surface. Guess I just wait and see how it works.
Mikel, in the future you might want to try drilling, punching some holes in you clips, or make wire clips, it will allow the glue that your using to provide a mechanical attachment along with the chemical bond. ray
Ray, I did leave the clips a couple mms from the hoof so the equilox went between. No, this is one time I screwed up. I had my camera in the van, but didn't get it out. Was dumb of me.
