Any of you guys using google+? I started using it a while ago and never really learned how to use it so I just started watching some youtube videos and it looks interesting. Few things I saw that I liked: flicker photos - great photo editing software Group video conferencing Circles - when you add friends you immediately group them. I've been trying to figure out a way to do some sort of a monthly video clinic on this site. Google+ plus looks like it may be a possible solution for it. Any thoughts on monthly clinics on this site? Anyone know of ways to make it happen?
I just set up a ustream account. I will have to play with this and see how easy it is to get live video going.
google+ is a social networking thing where you can chat, load photos and stuff and because it accesses your information via android when ypu're mobile it does the likes of telling people where you are and finding restaurants and stuff near you and your 'friends' got to say that it does nothing for me! i just don't get that stuff at all. if i want toknow what someonbe is doing, i phone them.
I always choose not to sync stuff on my phone for fear of it displaying too much information on facebook. I don't want someone knowing exactly where I am, what I'm doing, or who I'm with.
Obviously, like me you are a technological dinosaur when it comes to social media. How in the heck do you find any advertising for stuff you don't want or need if you don't take advantage of all the stuff flashing on the screen?
Google plus is more of a facebook twitter hybrid. Nothing gets shared unless you set it up to share. Then you control who sees it. Nice for when you want to separate friends and business. Flickr has a great photo editor built in also. Eric Russell
The ustream seems easy enough except you need the internet in order to stream video and I don't have it at my shop and most barns I go to don't have it. So we'll have to figure something out so we can do some tests. Then maybe we'll be able to do some little online clinics.
