What would you do to stop a race horse from touching down on the back feet when going fast. I was told the best solution is to put a larger size on the back. Would using a three degree shoes be better?

no, you're dealing with a groom's issue, wraps with run down patches, and again Vet problem.

Someone correct me if I get this wrong...

"Running down" when the horse's pastern comes in contact with the running surface potentially causing injury. Usually is addressed by applying bandages/wraps to protect the limbs.
