I would like to go to that clinic but my professional association will not approve it for CEU credit.
Send me the money and i ll provide all the credits........... I thought I read that Rick was buying the stout this year, so i m going! Seriously, some of the nicest folk I ve run into and a real want to learn from the Maine crowd, and the lunch is great! I go under the guise of selling my stuff, but always learn some things from some straight speakin folk. Well worth the trip, ............. throw in Rick buying the stout.... to hell with the CEU credits. Ray
CEU credits? We don need no stinkin' CEU credits. I believe that AAPF CEU credits are there for the clinic, since the clinician is Mr Ridley. On the other hand, there is the stout. No professional credits vs stout? What the hell kind of fake professional farrier organization do you belong to that would take that point of view? Regards

I m off to the Maine Farriers Assoc. clinic, 6 to 7 hours away by car.... what some folk won t do for a pint of Stout and to meet up with some great folk. Ray
Ray, It was good to visit, and Thanks for bringing the stout!! I think it was a really good couple of days. Well worth going. I had seen Jeff Ridley before, but had never really met him and had time to talk. What a great guy. It was a pleasure, and full of value. Sunday was a lot of fun. Sounds like the clinic was a huge success Rick. If I still lived in Vermont I would have made the trip over. Make sure you let the VtFA know of up coming clinics and maybe some of them will make the trip over. This would have been a great clinic for Tom Morin (young fellow who bought my Vt. draft shoeing business) to have come to. I am sure Ken Norman, (present VtFA President ) would have, should have considered coming to. I would suspect you had a number come up from N.H. Phil, Jim Smith and son, etc...(is John C. still shoeing/forging at his stable ? Past Maine President) ? If you ever make it to Texas you have a bed to lay your head. my 2 cents worth
John It was a really great clinic Bruce. We all had a good time and learned some stuff, even the clinician. He was excellent, I would highly recommend him. John Calderwood was there. He's now retired from shoeing and is blacksmithing, knife making and teaching blacksmithing. Doing beautiful work I might add. I didn't see anyone from VT or NH. Quite often some come up. If I ever get to Texas, I'll take you up on that. Regards
