Why are they not made anymore? What happened to them?

    Linda,

I opened up the 2013 AFJ Farrier Supplies and Services ,published by Lassiter Pub. and got this # for Monetta Specialties Inc.. 1 803 685 5101.

Let us know what you find out!

I was just curious why they stopped production. I briefly asked Mr. Schwarz at a clinic a year or so ago about them and he said they didn't make them anymore but would sell the mold if someone was interested.
I've noticed there are still some out there so it had to be a pretty good product, so I'm just wondering what happened to them.

The Monetta bodies (fiberglass) were substantially heavier than the aluminum bodies made by the competition. The box itself weighs something like 600lbs. Stonewell/purdybuilt basic aluminum box is about 250lbs.

after 3 good Watt Camper shells, I was sad to learn there was no more to be had. They consistantly outlasted 2 trucks, sometimes 3 trucks. I was told the guy was inconsiderate enough to die and none of his kids were interested in the business & neither was his wife. So Stonewell will take me into retirement ,I guess...

Brian, are you saying we should be investing for retirement in shares of Stonewell stock? :D

Not hardly. I'm trying to wrap my brain around the concept that this will be the last cap necessary. I don't plan to be shoeing anything after my 66th b-day.
