These are my very first masslotte toe clipped shoes. I have been in the shop everyday making everyday shoes to learn how to forge rather than just bending stock into a horseshoe. I asked alot of questions at the Classic on how to improve. The advice I heard the most was use short pieces of 3/8x1 and forge it into a section. I drove to Nick Young's shop the other day and he showed me how to make masslotte shoes because of the amout of forging. This is how I have been useing my practice time. These shoes are 10x3/8x1. The section turned out to be 3/8x7/8 at the toe and 3/8x3/4 from there.
