http://hoofcare.blogspot.com/2012/02/avma-horseshoeing-is-no-longer-excluded.html Awww shucks, poor Fran is confused because the AVMA changed the word "horseshoeing" to "farriery" in their model vet practice act. Now she can't seem to find an acceptable definition of what a farrier is. No surprise there, she can't figure out what "fraud" or "theft" means either.
I read that article and wasn't sure what was going on. I saw they changed the name. Was there something in there I missed or should be concerned about?
I think the comments from Fran are amusing. She can't get the AVMA to take her seriously - they referred her to the librarian. She stopped producing H&L Journal about 6 years ago, but continues to sell subscriptions to the magazine. She says, "Fran Jurga's Hoof Blog is a between-issues news service for subscribers to Hoofcare and Lameness Journal." Right now H&L is 24 issues behind. I bought a 2 year subscription and got 1 issue, she she still owes me 7 issues. Once you buy a subscription she will not refund your money, and you only have 30 days to dispute it on your credit card. So by the time you figure out you aren't going to get a magazine, she has already got your money and you don't have much recourse for getting it back. So she has been getting away with this scam for a long time.
