Have a 6yo paint gelding, 16.3 hands and about 1200 to 1300 lbs. Last year we were fighting a crack straight up the middle of his front right hoof, visible from the front outer wall and into the white line when viewed from the bottom. With the help of pads, magic cushion and keeping him trimmed every 4 to 5 weeks we got it trimmed out, in the middle of the winter we found a pocket where an abcess must of been. This spring he has been sperotically lame. Had Right front foot xrayed (that was the problem foot) Show very little discoloration next to the nevecular bone but was told by the vet to not put alot of thought into it at this point, get through show season and have it re xrayed this fall/winter to see if its better, worse or the same. The horse is not consistatly lame enough to put nerve him to see where hes hurting at. Now he seems to be over in the knee, left worse than right. On the straight aways he seems pretty consistent and very little stiffness in his front end. BUT when you turn him left he takes a short stride and looks off. To the right he is fine. Any help??? Sorry about the bad pict havent been back to the barn today. THANKS

In the pic the leg looks unloaded rather than over at the knee. As its a farriery forum you would be best to post pics of his feet, the best views are similar to xrays, and a solar shot.
