A Customer sent me a e mail pix of a hoof showing a spot that is red like old blood and yellow like old serum, i ll try to get Mrs Steele to post it within the next few days till then i ll attempt to describe it.

I have seen this before but never got an explanation ,the spot ,in the past cases have been spots, appears while trimming towards the toe, this one at say 1 oclock. It looks to be wet blood but is not and sharing the same small space is the yellow, serum . Digging at it , it gets larger then smaller and maybe larger again, it has appeared the last 2 trimmings. It is on a hind, others I ve seen have been of fronts and hinds. No blood or serum flows from the "spot".

I know it would be easier with pix , if anyone is sitting round who could help I could forward the email with the attachment if you could put it up.
